I, _______________________ (print name), on _________________ (today’s date) hereby request permission from
Silvercore Advanced Training Systems Inc. to participate in firearms training activities for the following dates:________________________________________ .
I fully acknowledge that this is a very dangerous activity and by doing so, I voluntarily expose myself to many hazardous risks including, but not limited to, death or grievous bodily injury from the following: gunshots- intentional, negligent, or
accidental- either inflicted by me or from others; broken bones or sprains; automobile accidents; lacerations; foreign objects in eyes; any other injury that may occur while participating in training.
I agree to wear protective equipment including a billed cap, wrap around eye protection, hearing protection and any other protective equipment necessary to prevent injury at all times while training with Silvercore. I also agree to adhere to the following safety rules:

Silvercore Range Safety Considerations
In order to provide the safest training experience possible, we require that each student completely abide by the following rules. These rules are NOT flexible! If you are not fully prepared to follow these rules please, please inform us before you begin the shooting portion of the class.
- NO GUNS ALLOWED OUTSIDE A HOLSTER OR GUN CASE except right up on the firing line or in a safe area. No LOADED guns allowed removed from holsters except on the firing line. Exceptions to this are only under the instructor’s direct supervision.
- COLD RANGE RULES: We operate a “cold range” for our entry-level courses which means you will only load your guns on command.
- HOT RANGE RULES: When we operate a “hot range” all guns shall be kept loaded and ready for use unless administrative reasons require otherwise. Guns shall remain in holsters when loaded and only deployed on the firing line when safe to do so. Instructors will ensure guns are completely unloaded before handling in a safety area. For those authorized: If firearms are brought to the range loaded with duty ammunition, an opportunity will be presented to reload with training ammunition before commencing.
- LONG GUN PROCEDURES: Long guns will be carried with the chamber empty, action open and safety on (if possible). When being transported from one position to another a sling shall be used if present. If there is no sling then the gun shall be carried with the muzzle held as high as possible (higher than the tallest person’s head). When moving with a loaded long gun in an exercise or drill the muzzle shall be depressed in a 45-degree direction downrange with the safety on and finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard.
- DO NOT POINT GUNS at anything you do not want to destroy: NEVER allow your gun to point at another human being or at yourself. During training, Silvercore instructors will point out the only safe directions to point your firearm. Consider the firearm a Star Wars “Lightsaber” – anything the muzzle crosses will be cut in half!
- NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS will be consumed prior to or during range training: If alcohol use is suspected you will not be allowed to participate. In the event you are taking medication that adversely affects your ability to operate a firearm safely, or if you have a serious medical condition or injuries please notify your instructor prior to starting the training session.
- TRIGGER FINGER shall not be on the trigger or inside the trigger guard until the decision has been made to shoot and it’s safe to discharge at the target.
- DO NOT GO TO THE GROUND: If the firing line is active and you or other shooters have guns in their hands do NOT lean over or bend down. The line must be declared “safe” and all guns are benched or holstered before picking anything up from the ground.
- WASH THOROUGHLY around your mouth and wash your hands before eating, drinking or smoking after shooting. You are exposed to lead contamination in the range environment.
- NO VIDEO OR AUDIO recording or photography of any kind by anyone during your training with Silvercore Inc. Images collected during Silvercore Inc. training events are the sole property of Silvercore Inc. and may not be distributed, modified, transmitted, posted, published, uploaded or otherwise delineated privately, publicly or commercially unless you have obtained prior written permission from Silvercore Inc.
- VIOLATION OF THESE RULES: may result in removal from participation on the range for that course section and violation of rule #5 or rule #6 will result in immediate removal from participation on the range. REPEATED violations of these rules may result in dismissal from the entire course with no refunds.
I have read the above rules, fully understand them and agree to abide by these rules while participating in Silvercore Advanced Training Systems Inc. training courses. I have also received a duplicate copy for my files and agree to periodically re-read it for refresher training.
